Hensoldt 8x24 Grossfeld (2)

Das "Grossfeld" Modell 8x24 wurde von Hensoldt ab ca. 1928 bis ca. 1940 gebaut. Auf dem oberen Deckel ist ein Sehfeld von 150m angegeben. Der untere Deckel trägt das Firrmenlogo und die Seriennummer 254739. Dieses 8x24 dürfte zwischen 1933 und 1936 gefertigt worden sein. Beide Deckel sind mit 2 Schrauben befestigt. Es ist ein typisches Porro-1-Prismenmonokular mit Hartgummiummantelung, schwarzer Lackierung und einem Okular mit Dioptrienausgleich und Plastikaugenmuschel. Die Trageriemenöse ist am Korpus eingegossen. Das 8x24 wiegt 190g, ist 102-112mm lang und die Objektivfassung ist 32mm, das Okularstück 29mm und die Augenmuschel 34mm im Durchmesser.

The "Grossfeld" (wide field of view) 8x24 model was made by Hensoldt since about 1928 until c.1940. The top cover plate states a field of view of 150m. The bottom cover bears the company logo and the serial number 254739. This 8x24 was probably mnade between 1933 and 1936. Both cover plates are fixed with 2 screws. The 8x24 is a typical Porro I prism monocular with an Ebonite covering, black painted parts, and an eyepiece with a dioptre adjustment and a plastic eyecup. There is a cast-in strap lug. The 8x24 weighs 190g and it is 102-112mm long. The objective frame measures 32mm, the eyepiece 29mm, and the eyecup 34mm in diameter.
