Monokular 8x24 (Franz./Brit.)

Ohne Beschriftung ist dieses Messing-Aluminium-Monokular nur aufgrund seiner nicht vegüteten Optik als Vorkriegsmodell einzuordnen. Die Bauweise mit einem kleinen Kunstleder ummantelten Objektivring am Tubus und der interessanten Form der 2/3 Bakelitaugenmuschel gibt Anlass zu vermuten, dass es sich um ein Glas aus französicher oder evtl. britischer Produktion handelt - z. B. von Flammarion.
Es wiegt 236g, ist 115 bis 123mm lang und das Gehäuse 45x45mm bzw. 48x48mm breit. Der Objektivtubus ist am Ansatz 29mm und an der Objektivfassung 31mm im Durchmesser. Das rechtsseitige Okular misst 20mm, der Fokussierungsring 29mm und die Augenmuschel 34mm im Durchmesser.

8x24 Monocular (French/British)

This aluminium brass monocular has no inscriptions and thus is rather hard to categorize, apart from being a prewar glass because it is uncoated. The design with its extra objective ring which is covered with synthetic leather, and with the special shaped 2/3 eyecup hints at a French or probably British producer, e.g. Flammarion.
It weighs 236g. It is 115 - 123mm long, the housing being 45x45mm or 48x48mm wide. The objective tube starts with a 29mm diameter and ends with 31mm at the objective frame. The right-hand sided ocular measures 20mm, the focuinsg ring is 29mm, and the eyecup is 34mm in diameter.
