Busch 5x25 "Ultralux"

Dieses spezielle "Ultralux" Modell von Busch weist als Besonderheit einen am Gehäuse angegossenen kurzen Aluminium-Zapfen auf. Außerdem ist die Augenmuschel mit "5x" graviert und für das Objektiv gibt es einen schwarz lackierten Messing-Deckel. Der Bestimmungszweck ist unbekannt, es könnte sich aber um eine Art Ablesefernrohr (ab ca. 1,60m) oder Visier handel, welches mit dem Zapfen beweglich an einer Haleterung montiert wurde. Ggf. gab es an dieser Stelle auch einen Handgriff, der abgesägt wurde. Ansosnten weist das Prisma-Monocle die Merkmale der früheren 6x25 Ultraluxmodelle auf: d.h. gerade 3fach verschraubte, schwarz lackierte Messingdeckel, eine Lederummantelung mit dicker Nahtstelle am Aluminiumgehäuse - allerdings ohne angeschraubter Riemnöse - und eine Dioptrienskala von +/-5 sowie eine Bakelitaugenmuschel. Der obere Deckel ist mit dem Firmen- und Modellnamen, aber keinem Logo gekennzeichnet. Die ansonsten geraden Ghäuseseiten weisen zur Objektivfassung hin eine verbreiterung auf. Das Okularstück ist oben seitlich am Gehäuse mit einer Schruabe gesichert. An der Objektiv fassung ist inneseitig ene kegelförmige Streulichtblende eingeschraubt, die gleichzeitig die Objektivlinse in der Fassung hält.

This special "Ultralux" model from Busch show an extra feature: a short aluminum trunnion cast onto the housing. The eyecup is engraved with "5x," and there's a black-lacquered brass cap for the objective lens. Its intended purpose is unknown, but it could have been some kind of reading telescope (from approximately 1.60 m) or sight, which was mounted on a rack with the trunnion. It may also have been a handle which was sawn off. Otherwise, the prism monocle shares the features of the earlier 6x25 Ultralux models: straight, triple-screwed, black-lacquered brass covers, a leather covering with a thick seam on the aluminum housing — although without a screwed-on strap lug — and a diopter scale of +/-5, as well as a Bakelite eyecup. The top cover is marked with the company and model name, but no logo. The else straight sides of the housing have a widening towards the objective frame. The eyepiece is secured to the top side of the housing with a screw. A conical lens hood is screwed into the inside of the lens frame, which also holds the objective lens in place.

Das Monokular ist 115mm bis 125mm lang, das Gehäuse ist oben 44x44mm und unten 48x50mm breit. Die Obejktivfassung hat einen Durchmesser von 30mm, das rechtsseitige Okularstück von 20mm, der Fokussierungsteil 26mm und die Augenmuschel 34mm im Durchmesser. Der 11mm lange Zapfen ist 19,8mm im Durchmesser. Das Monokular wiegt 228g, die Objekitvkappe 5g.
